- Soy-based products are susceptible to moisture. Their ability to absorb moisture from the air causes a whitish film or spots to appear on the surface of the candles;
- The risk of the candle deforming increases in draughts or high humidity;
- The candle-making process takes longer – the soy wax mixture sets more slowly than that made from other raw materials.
The addition of paraffin and other synthetic components reduces the environmental friendliness of soy wax.
